Primary Activity Day...

A couple of weeks ago, Hannah went to a primary activity, celebrating pioneer life. She had a fun time with her friends. They searched for gold, square danced, made butter, played pioneer games, and dressed up like pioneers, Well... everyone except for Hannah. She doesn't like to dress up.

BUILD-A-PARTY CELE-BEAR-ATION!

Hannah had her birthday party at Build-A-Bear today! Each Guest made their own stuffed animal friend! Our party leader, Kayla, guided them through each step of the fun-filled bear-making experience. Then, Hannah and her friends pawsonalize their new furry friends with outfits and accessories. They walk out, hand-in-paw with a smile and a new best friend. The only problem was the party was finished before the scheduled time. I was expecting to be there for an hour and a half. But, it only took about 45 minutes. So...I had about 45 minutes to fill with 6 girls and two boys in a crowded mall. So...I had to think quick, I decided to go over to the food court and order ice cream for all the kids. We found a table and sat down, enjoyed our blizzards from Dairy Queen while Hannah opened her gifts. It wasn't how I planned it, but it turned out paw-fect! It was definitely a HASSLE FREE PARTY WITH NO MESS AND NO CLEAN UP!

The Fair

Monday afternoon we decided to use our discount tickets and head to the fair. I had purchased tickets at Albertsons about week ago and saved a couple of dollars. We met my brother Ben, his girlfriend, Holly, and her two boys, Ryan and Matty there. We spent about 5 hours at the fair. My boys went with my brother Ben on the big kid rides. My brother is such a big kid at heart! Holly and I hung out with the 3 little ones. We enjoyed pizza, tri-tip sandwiches, and a funnel cake. I almost ate the whole funnel cake by myself! The highlight of the day was the BMX stunt show. My kids all enjoyed that show. Noah is now trying to emulate the tricks they did. At least he wears a helmet when he does it.

I would not let my kid be the volunteer in this stunt!

The BMX Stunt Show
When is this ride going to start. Hannah is at that stage where she's not tall enough to on the big kid rides, but would like to because the little kid rides are kinda boring for her.

After a couple of times down he had enough with the rug burn.

Spa Day!

Everyone deserves to be pampered on their birthday! Hannah's birthday was on Saturday the 20th of September. So we decided to pamper Hannah with a spa day at home. We fill the bath tub with bubble bath, filled a champagne cup with water, and filled a plate full of chocolate. We set the mood with candles, and soft music playing in the background. But, Kaleb thought it would be better if he played his guitar for her. After relaxing in the tub, we put a robe on Hannah and painted her nails. Kaleb even helped with this. He painted polka dots on Hannah's toes and thumbs. He ended up doing a good job! But, did manage to get white finger nail polish all over himself and the floor. Nothing finger nail polish remover can't remove. We then gave Hannah a massage. She had a fun time! But, now she wants a SPA DAY every day. But, Who doesn't! Later that night we went to Outback to celebrate. She loves to eat the macaroni and cheese there. When we got home we sang happy birthday to Hannah and ate brownies. Hannah got a DS for her birthday and a Hannah Montana game and some clothes. She found her presents in my closet a couple days early, with the help of her brother, who told her where to look. I was upset. But, she wrote me an apologize note. So... I decided to give them to her early.
She loves being the CENTER OF ATTENTION!

blowing out the candle at Outback! All the waiters and Waitress came over to our table one at a time to wish her a Happy Birthday!

Present Time!

Hannah blowing out her candles. She helped make the brownies and decided to put red frosting on them, and then decided to take it off. That's why the brownies look so beautiful!

Baking Tip: Never put candles into brownies that just came out of the oven.
The wax melted into the brownies and this is what the candles looked like.

Creative or Dangerous ...

I'm not sure if this is an accident waiting to happen or if it's creativity in the works...
My kids are always coming up with new ideas to entertain themselves. This is one of their latest contraptions they put together. They tied a rope from one end of the yard to the other. The rope was set up directly over the middle of the trampoline. They had a good time taking turns jumping over the rope. I'm happy to report that no one was injured! But, kids don't try this at home, leave it to the professionals.

It looks like Hannah is signaling, I'm safe!

Hannah givin' it a try.

He wants to be the best at everything.

Oops, touched the rope.

Hannah being Glamorous!

Almost 7
I would like to share a few stories about Hannah...

Hannah: Mom, I don't feel good.
Me: What's wrong Hannah.
Hannah: I got a weird feeling inside. My tummy hurts. I think the Holy Ghost is inside me and I just want to pinch it out. (age 4)

Hannah: Mom, is there food in heaven?
Me: I don't know Hannah, we'll have to wait until we go there to see.
Hannah: Okay, are we going there after pre-school.
Me: No, I don't know when we will go there. (age 4)

Hannah was about 5 years old and she wanted to go outside to ride her bike. She wanted to go play with her friend Reef, who lived down the street. No sooner then I had opened the garage door for her, I heard a loud crash. My stomach dropped, I thought the worst. I thought a car had hit her. It felt like I waited a long time before I peeked out of the garage to see what had happened. I saw Hannah lying in the street, crying behind a parked car. As I got closer, I realized Hannah had hit a parked car. At first, I thought how much damage could she possible do. But, I was wrong her handle bar had punctured a hole about the size of a quarter in the neighbor's truck. Luckily, the neighbor lady was nice and said not to worry about it.

This is a letter Hannah wrote to Richard and I after she got into some trouble:
She was in the first grade.

Hannah's famous quotes:

"Mom, even when you're mad at me you still have to smile at me."
(Age 4)
When we lived in Fresno, I would take Hannah on bike rides in her trailer. When we got to the park she replied:
"Not this park mom, a different park"
She definitely had an opinion at age 2
"I'm not adorkable!"
(her brothers were just trying to tell her that she is adorable.
(age 3)

The waiter at Bob's Big Boy was asking her if she wanted french fries and she replied:
Actually, I would like Onion Rings. We didn't even know she liked onion rings, but she ate them all.
(age 4)

Favorite things to do at age 7:
reading
playing in the mud
playing with cars and Polly pockets
playing with baby dolls
riding her bike
playing with friends
swimming
