Newport Beach Weekend Getaway

On Friday July 10th we (the kids and I) headed to the beach for the weekend with my sister Megan, her two daughters, my parents, Mary and her grandchildren. I booked our hotel through Priceline and got a really good deal more than half off the regular price. The hotel we stayed at was perfect for families. They had fun activities planned the whole weekend for the kiddos and best of all the activities were FREE!

The hang ten scavenger hunt was exciting for the kids to be able to run around the hotel looking for different surf boards.

At the breakfast buffet there were these cute little kid size tables with goodies on them for the little ones

On Saturday morning we went to the beach. It took me almost an hour to find a parking spot and the beach was so crowed.

After spending a few hours at the beach we went back to the hotel and the kids played games, went swimming and made a sun visor. Later the kids coordinator brought out bean bags and read them stories. At dusk we watched Hotel for Dog on a big screen by the pool.

We left our little bit of Paradise on Sunday morning! It's definitely a place I want to go back to.

Ohhhh---I am so jealous. Especially this summer---I have been dying to go to the beach but I don't DARE put on a swimsuit! It looked like so much fun for those lucky kids of yours! I love summer break....we need more of them during the year! LOL :)
