Mother's Day Weekend

Mother's day weekend started on Thursday evening when Richard drove Holly and I to the Burbank airport to catch a flight to Salt Lake City, Utah for Makayla's and Sean's wedding. We thought we were going to miss the flight since there was traffic and we sat still in the car for 45 minutes before finally moving. Luckily for us the airport wasn't packed and we were able to make it with a few minutes to spare. We enjoyed a quick flight and Mackenzie picked us up from the airport where we met up with Megan who flew in from Vegas. That evening we traveled to Logan, Utah to stay in a hotel near the temple. We arrived after midnight and stayed up laughing and chatting until around 3:30 am. I forgot to turn off my alarm and woke everyone up around 6:15. Megan and I decided to take a walk/jog around Logan and found a beautiful trail to follow. Later Megan and I went to the temple to witness the sealing of Makayla and Sean. It was such a windy day warm day. After pictures we headed over to the church for a luncheon. Since my grandpa could come to the wedding because of health issues we went to visit with him and grandma Evans afterwards and enjoyed looking at old pictures, visiting, and eating pizzas. We stayed the night a MacKenzie's house in Salt Lake that evening. In the morning Holly, Megan, Kenzie, and I went on a short hike/walk around her neighborhood in Sugar House then had breakfast at Eggs in the City. Later we took Megan to the airport and then Holly, Kenzie, and I went to the mall, the Salt Lake temple, and the capital. We meet up with mom and dad and had amazing tacos for lunch. Then we headed to the airport to go back home. When I arrived home Richard and Hannah had built me a laundry stand and shelf in the laundry room for Mother's day. They also purchased some much needed beach towels. Kaleb and his girlfriend Melis arranged a beautiful flower bouquet for me and Noah sent me a beautiful card. After church Richard made a yummy dinner with shrimp kabobs, asparagus, portobello mushrooms,  and tri-tip sandwiches. It was a wonderful day.
