Vacation Time

I'm trying to play catch up on my blog spot. I've been out of town for a few days. I think I was having blog withdrawals. I just couldn't wait to get back home to post all the pictures of the fun we have been having. On Friday, June 27th, we left for Las Vegas for a family Reunion. We stayed at the Silverton which is just south of the strip. My husband found a great deal online for our hotel room, about 40% off! Oh, how I love bargains. I really do get excited about simple things. The hotel had bath & body works sample size toiletries. I wished we were staying more then one night so I could have stocked up on the free samples. The hotel was connected to the Bass Pro Shop. If you haven't been to a Bass Pro shop it is huge and amazing, It has something for everyone. We drove down the strip and went to the Ferrari museum inside the Wynn Hotel. Kaleb has been wanting to go there for a long time. He was extremely excited to see all the cars and even sat inside a real Ferrari. I was disappointed because they wouldn't let you take pictures inside the museum. Later that night we drove down the strip with my brother Ben, his girlfriend Holly, Ryan, Matty, and Emily. It was fun for the kids to see all the lights. On Saturday, June 28th, we drove down the street to Exploration Park in SW Las Vegas for the Waldron Family Reunion. It was good to see our extended family and catch up with them. Since it was hot at the park we went to a near by church to cool off and hang out with our relatives. We played a really cool game called human Foosball. We all had to hold onto long PC pipes and kick a ball into a goal without letting go of the pipe. I didn't get any cool pictures of this game since I was playing. It was a great bonding experience. That evening we followed my parents to their river house. Which is about an hour and half from Las Vegas. The next three days were spent on the Colorado River with friends and family. We had a wonderful trip.

Kaleb in front of the Ferrari shop. I was trying to take the picture with a Ferrari in the background without getting caught. Since they wouldn't allow pictures to be taken inside the museum.

The mermaid at the Silverton Hotel. Hannah was scared of the mermaid and wouldn't go near the glass to say hello. She stood behind my legs.

Kaleb and Noah outside the Lamborghini shop in Las Vegas. The security guard told me I couldn't be there after hours. So I ran back to the car to be a good law abiding citizen. But, she didn't say a word to Richard and the boys. Is that discrimination or what!

My kids are probably so tried of me taking pictures of them. I'm sure one day they will appreciate me.

This is a picture of my niece Charlie who is 18 months old. She is such a cute dare devil. She figured out how to open the side door on the boat and decided to jump out. Luckily her dad was there to catch her.

My sweetheart Cole and Hannah holding a hot dog on a stick. Not really, but that's what the kids called it.

We took a trip with my sister Michele, brother in law Jason, and their kids down the river to Havasu.

After dinner we went outside by the river and the kids spotted a skunk family and a racoon. Ryan, Hannah, and Emily trying to get a better look at the wildlife.

Hannah blowin' the horn. This was the last day at the river. Well at least for Richard, Hannah and I. The boys stayed there with their cousins.

Hannah and Charlie playing side by side

Hannah's first time wake boarding. She definetaley has bragging rights because she was able to get up out of the water on her second try. The boys were under extreme pressure since she went first. She made it look so easy. They thought they had the cat in the bag. But, Noah and Kaleb weren't able to follow in their sister's footsteps. Maybe next time. As if it wasn't embrassing enough for the boys to be outdone by their sister. I decided to give it a try. I was able to stand up. The girls won that round hands down. Better luck next time boys!

Hannah

I forgot to mention Cody was able to do it too!

Kaleb givin' it a try

Noah thought it would be similar to snow boarding. A little different element for him.

I went last and showed them my girl power!

Cody, Noah, and Kaleb in the raft. I wished I was filmimg them on their bumpy ride through the bushes. It was a funny sight. Even if the boys didn't think so.

Hold on tight, you never know what might happen!
