Double Whammy Weekend

My brother Jeremy graduated from the Thomas Jefferson Law School on Saturday, May 21, 2011.  Richard and I were able to go to San Diego for a few short hours to watch him walk across the stage  and receive his diploma. I'm so proud of my brother and all he has accomplished.  I'm so excited to see what the future has in store for him.  He has been such an inspiration to me with his dedication, motivation, and enthusiasm for learning and life.  He is going to make an AWESOME lawyer!

The ladies again

After a few short hours with family in San Diego we headed to LA for one of my best friend's wedding.  We ended up missing the actual wedding ceremony because we got stuck in a parking garage for over an hour. We decided after an hour of only moving a few feet and still on the 10th floor to park the car and get a taxi to go over to the law school to hang out until we could go back to retrieve the car.  A couple hours later Richard was able to get the car out and the plus side we didn't have to pay for parking because they finally just opened the gate so everyone could get out, but the downside was it made us late to the wedding in LA.  To top off the already frustrating situation they were having soapbox races in downtown LA which seemed like every street was blocked off which caused us to drive around in circles to find a way to get to the hotel. We eventually arrived and were able to at least enjoy the reception and see friends I haven't seen in years!
