Another Week of Summer FUN

Monday, June 13th- Noah started working the morning shift at 5:20 in the morning.  Which meant he needed to wake up at 4:00 a.m. and leave the house by 4:30.  It's a good thing he set his alarm and woke himself up because I didn't wake up until 5:20 even though I set my alarm, I must of turned it off and fell back asleep.  It's also a good thing that he was able to carpool with a friend to work.  I knew he was going to get a ride with a friend, but I just wanted to see him off.  When I awoke I thought he was still asleep too because he was suppose to take his bike with him and it was still by the front door.  I ran to his room in a panic thinking he was going to be late for work, only to find out that he was already gone. I found out later that his bike didn't fit in his friend's car. It's a bitter sweet day when you realize that your child doesn't depend on you for everything.  I decided to go back to bed, no need for me to be up that early.  Later that morning I went for a jog while dad and the kids went for a bike ride.  At 10:30ish we head over to Siver Creek pool for the first day of swim team.  Hannah said it was hard and boring.  She didn't like swimming laps.  Kaleb thought it was okay.  Richard was able to pick Noah up from work and meet us at Sam's Club for pizza and root beer floats after swim team.  After lunch we headed over to the spray park to hang out with friends.  Hannah was able to ride her bike over to a friends house to spend the night.  Later in the afternoon I went grocery shopping and then took Noah back to work for an in service meeting.  I just waited in the car while I watched him practice CPR and rescue drills. Then they turned on the water slides and let them slide down those and dive off the diving board.  What a fun job.  He absolutely loves his job!

Tuesday, June 14th-I woke up early to take Noah to work.  When I got back home everyone was still asleep so I crawled back into bed.  I dropped the kids off at swim team so I could go pick up Noah from work at 11:30, luckily I have the the kindest friend to help me out when I need to be in two places at once.  Angela was able to bring my kiddos home from swim team.  Went over to the Judd's house to go swimming.  It's always more fun to swim with friends.  Later in the afternoon Hannah went swimming again at the Brook's home with her friends for Activity days.  Noah decided to pick up an extra swift at work and needed to be back at work before 6:00 p.m. Since his work is about a 20 mile round trip, we thought it would be a good idea for him to ride his bike to work.  Richard dropped him off on the bike trail and he made it to work in one piece.  He called me before he left work and I decided to go on a jog.  I was about 5 minutes into my workout when I got a phone call from Noah.  His first words were. "Mom I got hit by a car, but don't freak out, I'm okay!" He then proceeded to say he had called the police and he was just waiting for them to show up.  I had a million questions I needed answers for.  I tried to remain calm, but I just needed to see him with my own eyes to make sure he was fine. After I got the basic information out of him, I immediately called Richard at home to come pick me up.  I started running back towards home and within a few minutes we were on the road to go pick up Noah.  He had told us he was only a couple of blocks from work.  When we arrived the police officer was there asking questions.  I thought the policeman was very rude to Noah. Turns out that Noah was at fault for the accident because he was going down the street the opposite way from the flow of traffic.  Even though he was in a crosswalk! Anyway he was okay, just a bit sore from the accident.

Wednesday, June 15th-  After Noah worked from 5:20-11:30 a.m. and Hannah and Kaleb's swim team practice ended at noon, we headed down to Valencia to go to Hurricane Harbor to use our season passes. It was the first time we were all able to go on all the rides together since Hannah is taller then 48 inches.  We had a good time and the weather was perfect.  The only downfall was paying $12.00 dollars for a small locker.  Seriously I think that is way too expensive for less then four hours, but it beats having your stuff stolen.

Thursday, June 16th- We were able to have my nephews Ryan and Matty come and play for a few hours while their mother went to work.  Noah had work and the kids had swim team.  The kids enjoyed playing Lego and swimming in our pool.  I was able to take the kids to the dollar show to see the Disney movie Prom.  Matty was able to spend the night with us.  Kaleb and Hannah set up a small tent in the family room to sleep in.

Friday, June 17th- Noah was able to sleep in because he didn't have to be a work until 10:00 a.m.  He signed up to take a water aerobics class so he could learn how to teach it.  He said he really liked the class, but it was harder then he had thought.  Richard was home and took Kaleb to the ice sports center to play hockey while I took Matty and Hannah over to Pump it Up to bounce around and make a Father's Day craft.  We met Ryan and Holly at Pump it UP and enjoyed spending a few hours together.  We headed over to Round Table Pizza for a quick bite to eat.  Afterwards Hannah and I went to visit a couple of friends.  Then back to pick up Noah from work and then a pit stop at the mall to get Noah a pair of flip flops.

Saturday, June 18th- The morning started out by taking Kaleb to hockey.  Went for a jog in the afternoon, way to hot to run in the afternoon, I prefer to run at night usually or early morning.  Then did a little Father's Day shopping with Hannah and Kaleb.  They would buy everything for their dad if I let them.  We were having a hard time trying to figure out what to buy him so we decided that he needed a new wallet and we filled it with gift cards so he could purchase things he wanted.
